WHO IS MAYACHI?

MAYACHI LTD is a consultancy company that provides an incredible ALL-IN-ONE Non-Executive Finance Director service to new start-ups and SME Recruitment Agencies in the UK.

Often, Recruitment Agencies are started by top-billing recruiters who have the knowledge and skills to make placements but often have a limited understanding of the financial aspects of running a recruitment business.

The ALL-IN-ONE service provided by MAYACHI is aimed at educating and advancing these Directors’ financial knowledge, so that they can effectively use their numbers to understand how their company is performing and use them to achieve their business targets.

Understanding the financial responsibilities of running a recruitment agency often starts before the company is formed so MAYACHI also works with aspiring Directors prior to starting their new business, so that they get the best start possible.

Once the new agency is underway, MAYACHI works with the Directors to understand their company figures and HMRC liabilities and create projections to help achieve the financial targets the directors want to achieve.

October 2000

First job from university as Internal Audit Administrator at Liberty Bishop Ltd (Limited & Umbrella Company) setting up new company processes, recovering lost funds and building international payroll systems.

February 2003

Approached to build and manage Monex Solutions Ltd (Pay-And-Bill solution) and grew this from 3 clients to 18 recruitment agencies providing funding and administration services for UK and International contract placements.

October 2005

Offered Financial Controller position at MSI Group Ltd (Recruitment Agency) to take the outsourced back-office processes in-house. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pay-and-bill, credit control and accounts team, along with the management of the compliance and administration divisions. Helped company grow from £1.8m to £15m turnover and processing over 600+ timesheets per week.

October 2009

Approached to become Commercial Director of Total Back Office Solutions Ltd (TBOS) (Outsourced Back-Office and Accounts Provider). Implemented processes and procedures to help grow the business over the next 13 years to over 120+ recruitment agencies with a combined turnover of £243m and 33 internal staff. Helped set up over 250+ recruitment agencies and over 50+ invoice finance arrangements during the tenure. Helped a recruitment agency client with the acquisition of 4 recruitment agencies and assisted in the sale of 3 agency clients.

May 2011

Set up TBOS Contracting Solutions Ltd (TBOSCS) (Pay-And-Bill Service) to provide funding and administration services to recruitment agencies making UK and international contract placements. Provided funding in over 170+ countries and in 15 different currencies.

April 2021

Set up Protek Pay Ltd (Umbrella Company) to provide umbrella company services to TBOS and TBOSCS recruitment agencies.

February 2023

Sold TBOS, TBOSCS and Protek Pay Ltd to Workwell Outsourcing. Stayed on as National Sales Manager for Workwell Outsourcing for 6 months.

August 2023

Took 5 months career break to spend time with family.

January 2024

Set up MAYACHI LTD to provide Non-Executive Finance Director services to recruitment agencies.

WHERE DOES THE NAME MAYACHI COME FROM?

MAYACHI IS the amalgamation of the names of Stewart’s children, Malachi and Maya. Malachi was born around the early part of Stewart’s career journey, whilst Maya was born more recently when Stewart decided to start a new business. Both children are very important to Stewart, and their names join together to signify the values he has in his business and how he wants to help new recruitment agencies with their plans.
